Can't sleep because of noises in the attic?

You may be hearing noises in the Attic for a variety of reasons. It could be from Squirrels, Raccoons, Rats or Mice, Bats, Birds, Opossums or something else. To determine exactly whats in your attic requires a complete inspection. But a few key things help identify what could be up there!

Squirrels

Squirrels are active during the daytime (diurnal). In fact, they're most active in early morning and evening, before sunset. So that's when you hear the noises. If you hear noises in your attic during any part of the day, especially morning and evening, you've almost certainly got squirrels.

Raccoons

You will probably hear Raccoons in the attic when they leave after dusk to find food and return during the night. If there are babies (called kits or cubs) you may hear them crying and whining (almost making a bird chirping sound). Raccoons that live in attics usually are seen resting during the day inside your attic.

They make entry into your attic usually by chewing through shingles or wood. They are extremely powerful for size and will ruin your home if not removed.

Rats & Mice

Mice and rats are nocturnal, so if they're in your home, you'll most likely hear their sounds at night or right as you're heading to bed. In some cases they are seen or heard running around during the day
